What will the I Believe in Hope Gala be like?
If you are able to join us in person, your ticket includes a reception with drinks and appetizers, followed by a dinner and program that will share stories and opportunities to bring you into the work of Helping Hands.
What will the online broadcast be like?
If you’re not in the Portland area or prefer to tune in, join us for FREE and get a front-row seat to the program. We’ll broadcast live from AVENUE to get connected, even from afar.
How do I participate in the online broadcast?
Visit avstream.me/helpinghands before the event goes live on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 6:30PM (PT).
If you need tech support during the program, text or call 503-564-3044 between 6–7:30PM (PT) the day of the event and our team will be happy to help.
Where is the in-person gathering happening?
AVENUE (631 NE Grand Ave, Portland OR, 97232)
What time is the in-person gathering?
Doors open at 5PM and our program will begin at 6:30PM.
How long will the reception be and when is dinner?
Enjoy socializing and light bites between 5–6:30PM. Our hosted bar will include beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages with cocktails available for purchase. We’ll be seated for dinner and our program just before 6:30PM, before we broadcast live to our online audience. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian food options will be available.

Portland’s TriMet MAX Green Line, Portland Streetcar’s Central Loop, or TriMet’s Bus Line No. 6 (stop at Grand and Hoyt) will drop you off blocks from the venue.

Where can I park?
There are several paid parking structures nearby, including at 717 NE Grand Ave and 539 NE Oregon St. Metered street parking is also available.
Can I bring children?
This event is appropriate for adults and teens.
Is this event accessible?
In-person: Accessible parking for AVENUE can be found in the public parking garage on Irving Street. A paved path (no stairs) will lead up to the main entrance of the venue and once inside the event space is all located on the first floor, the event space and restrooms for guests are both fully accessible.
Online: Captions will be available in English, tuning in is free and open to all.
